This year, Chic Squad will be a combination of virtual and in-person classes in an effort to keep our campers safe during the epidemic.

Virtual instruction and challenges will be held in June from 4-6 pm every Thursday. Newer designers will have three hours of classes in advance to bring up their skills. At the beginning of June, parents can come to Victoria's home to pick up their camper's "design pack". Each pack will include a mannequin, fabrics, and othe necessary materials. We ask that each family provide their own sewing machine.

The in-person portion of camp will be held from Monday, July 6 to Friday, July 10, from 10 am to 2 pm every day. More details to follow soon!

If it rains, camp will not be held and will be postponed to the following week, Monday, July 13 to Friday, July 17.

This year, Chic Squad Fashion Camp will be hosting a special one-week Pre-College Arts Boot Camp from Monday, July 6 to Saturday, July 11. This Boot Camp is an opportunity for veteran campers and new designers (ages 15-18) to create an artistic portfolio and website that showcases their work for college applications.

Boot Campers will perform a service project, build their own websites, and compile portfolios, so that in one week, campers can walk away with a well-rounded supplement for college applications that uniquely shows off their talents and body of work.

Camp Owner, Victoria Pero has been teaching at Bergen County Academies for 15 years, co-running the Performing Arts Department. She has deep knowledge of college preparations, having helped hundreds of her BCA and private students to acceptances at top colleges and universities in the US and abroad.

Chic Squad Fashion Camp is held at the home of camp director, Victoria Pero, at 35 County Road, Demarest, NJ.

Our camp base is equipped with a full studio set up. We have dress mannequins of all sizes, computerized sewing machines, ironing boards, sergers, glue gun stations and every sewing notion you could possibly need. Hundreds of fabrics spill onto the floor and line the walls. Our library of over 50 coffee table books of beautifully photographed fashions featuring work from all over the globe serves as a reference for all our challenges.

Our home-based camp also boasts an incredible pool with waterfall, several decks surrounded by beautiful gardens, a cozy fire pit, and outdoor cabana. Designers swim nearly every day in order to recharge, play games, make fantastic friends and have a blast all under the watchful eye of CPR certified counselors.
